Who knew you could make amazingly delicious and crispy steak fries in the oven with just a little bit of olive oil.
Oven Steak Fries
Author: Kelli
Recipe type: Side Dish
Cook time:
Total time:
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 4 russet potatoes, unpeeled
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500F.
- Cut the potatoes into about 8 wedges per potato.
- In a large bowl, add the oil and all the seasoning and stir them well. Then add in the potatoes, stir to coat well.
- Place the potatoes on a non-stick baking sheet and place them in the oven. Bake for about 20-25 minutes and flip half way through so they’re browned nicely on both sides.
The best thing is they only take about 30 minutes from start to finish.

So simple and soooooo much healthier! I wonder if you could do sweet potatoes the same way?
By the way, I’m so sorry Food on Fridays was unavailable last week. I was locked out of my blog and unable to get in and publish anything at all. But thanks to my new tech support, it’s live now, if you would like to join up this week. No pressure. I just wanted you to know.
Have a healthy week!

I make those, but yours look so much better! LOL The higher oven temperature must make a big difference.

I’m going to try this recipe. Mine always turn out mushy – but I never bake them at 500 degrees – that must be the key!
